KEARNEY, Brian (late of Terenure, Dublin, B.S.E. Ltd. and former Captain of Edmondstown Golf Club) - Peacefully, after a short illness at St. James’s Hospital, Dublin. Devoted husband of Aga (Mangan) and loving Dad to Eimear and Brian Jnr. Pre-deceased by his beloved daughter Orla (1996). Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughter, son, daughter-in-law Breda, his adored grandchildren Alannah, Saoirse, Zara and baby Adam, the Kearney and Mangan families, extended family, many friends and all those in the Edmondstown Golf and Bridge Clubs. Brian will be reposing at his family home, tomorrow (Friday) from 4pm - 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning to St. Pius X Church, Fortfield arriving for 10am funeral mass, followed by a cremation service at 1pm in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross (Victorian Chapel). KEARNEY - Brian, November 11, 2023. On the first anniversary of his death, Aga, Eimear and Brian Junior wish to thank all those who offered support and sympathy during the time of Brian's illness and death. We are deeply grateful to the medical and nursing staff of St James's Hospital, especially those in ICU who provided such compassionate care in Brian's final days.
To all who attended the funeral, called to the house or sent messages and cards, we offer our thanks, and we especially thank Fr Pat McKinley, Fr Michael Troy and Fr Eanna Ó’Hobáin.
Thank you to the Edmondstown past captains, who provided a guard of honour for Brian, and all of the team at Masseys, Terenure.
To our extended family, friends and neighbours who surrounded us with love and kindness at a very difficult time, our profound gratitude.
Brian was a much loved husband, father and brother. He was a very special grandad to Alannah, Saoirse, Zara and Adam.
He is loved and missed every day.
