DOWNES, Gerard (Gerry/JJ) (Nairobi, Kenya and Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin) - October 26, 2021, suddenly but peacefully, beloved husband of the late Eilis and predeceased by his brother Mark and sister Oula. Cherished father of Fionnuala, Ciarán and Catherine. Sadly missed by his daughter-in-law Nicola, sister-in-law Mary, his adored grandchildren Lauren, Eoin, Conor, Liam, Cian and Lorna, nephews and their wives, grandnephews and nieces, extended family and friends, especially his wonderful friends in Kenya. His funeral and cremation will take place in Kenya in the presence of close family and friends. A celebration of his life and burial of ashes will take place in Ireland at a later date.
