SHIEL, Ivan - December 6, 2014 (Corah, Ballycarney, Co. Wexford) retired Captain and Commodore of Irish Ferries peacefully aged 85 years in the excellent care of Wexford General Hospital. Beloved husband of Dorcas and the late Kit. Very sadly missed by his loving wife, children Ian, Caroline, Deirdre and Robert, brothers, grandchildren, family and friends. Reposing at his home from 5 o'c to 8 o'c today (Monday). Funeral Service in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin tomorrow (Tuesday) at 3 o'c followed by cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Wexford Hospice Homecare.

Wexford, Retired Captain and Commodore of Irish Ferries, died December 6, 2014 - On the First Anniversary of the passing of Ivan, the Shiel family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to family, friends and neighbours for their support and sympathy over the past year. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Oncology Unit, Whitfield Clinic, Waterford, to the Very Reverends Paul Mooney and Leslie Forrest and to the Reverend Father Matt Glynn.Loved and remembered always.
