We were very sad to learn of our dear Aunt Brigid’s passing. She was a lovely, warm, funny, very smart, principled lady. Our times visiting her and Uncle Victor in Galway were an absolute treat. We were thoroughly spoiled by the beautiful landscapes combined with Brigid and Victor’s impossibly vast historical and archeological knowledge. Reseeing Kylemore Abbey, then visiting Cong, Cong Abbey, and an ancient burial ground all in a day seemed like a dream. All while learning of the differences between Romanesque and Gothic arches, no less. It is indeed very, very sad to think we will not see such a fine lady again.
