STEWART - Charles Edward. May 23, 2022. Renowned in the legal profession of Northern Ireland/ Ulster Rugby social circles and for being a huge inspiration to us all for his love for life, cars and fun. He courageously lived with pancreatic cancer for four years. His family and grandchildren will forever be in awe for his will to live; working and playing tennis until six months ago. The funeral will be restricted to only immediate family as per his wishes. He does not wish to be sent flowers or cards, but he wants to make a difference. His mother died of pancreatic cancer and sadly he has too. If you wish to show your support and admiration to Charles in how he led his life and dealt with his diagnosis, please help us get earlier detection and more personalised treatment to this disease. We as a family are forever indebted to the hepatobiliary unit who did his surgery and cared for him, with particular reference to Miss Claire Jones – a superb clinician and surgeon with so much empathy. The gastroenterology team, Dr Ryan Scott and Dr Inder Mainie gave Charles autonomy to the end. As a family we will have an everlasting hole that will never be filled but please help us fight this disease for Charles’s legacy. He deserves this and so much more. To show admiration and respect to Charles and a determination to help developments in pancreatic cancer please donate to NIPANC at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/charles-edward-stewart. Much love, forever wife of Charles Stewart, Jane-Mary xx
