LOFTUS, Sr. Mary (Convent of Mercy, Dun Laoghaire) – July 30, 2024 in the kind care of her family, Sr’s and staff of Our Lady’s Manor Nursing Home, Dalkey and the Palliative team in the Blackrock Hospice. The Sisters of Mercy and her family gratefully appreciate the kind, considerate, and professional care shown to Mary during her illness by both the Staff in Our Lady’s Manor Nursing Home and the Hospice Team in Blackrock. Predeceased by her brother Dermot and her beloved twin sister Sr. Pauline (Theresa); she is sadly missed by her loving family, her sister Aine (Parkinson), her brothers Tomas and Padraig (Fr. Mel, OSM), her sisters-in-law Joan and Nuala, brother-in-law Dan, nieces and nephews Siobhan, Tom, Brendan, Oonagh, Eoin, Claire, Paul, Conor, Sinead, Grainne, Patricia, and Daniel, grandnieces and grandnephews, her extended family and many friends around the world and by her sisters in the Mercy Community. May she Rest in Peace. Reposing today (Thursday) in St Michael’s Hospital Chapel from 4pm – 6pm. Requiem Mass tomorrow (Friday) at 11am which can be viewed on www.memoriallane.ie/livestream followed by burial in the Community Plot, Newlands Cross Cemetery. No flowers please.
