SHIELDS Vincent Michael Gordian Shields MFH (formerly of Knockanima, Lake Road, Loughrea, and late of the Willows, Athenry, Co. Galway). December 16, 2017. Loving husband of Majella, devoted father of Aoife and Vincent, cherished grandfather of Molly, Patrick and Maria. Deeply missed by his sisters Mausie, Dottie and Hattie, his brothers Stephen, Tommy, Dan and Andrew together with his son-in-law Doug, daughter-in-law Ruth, mother-in-law Rosaleen, sisters-in-law Paula, Pauline, Meg and Fiona and brothers-in-law PJ , Donal, Brian and David. Sadly missed by his many relatives, friends, staff, neighbours and clients. Reposing at his residence the Willows, Athenry today (Tuesday) from 4.00pm to 8.00pm. Funeral procession departing the Willows, Athenry and proceeding past his business premises at Cross Street, Athenry tomorrow (Wednesday) for Requiem Mass at the Church of The Assumption, Athenry at 12.00 noon followed by burial at the New Cemetery Athenry. Family Flowers only. Donations, if so desired to Multiple Sclerosis Ireland. House private please on Wednesday morning.
