O'KANE, John Gamage (Clogherhead, Co. Louth) (September 15, 1937 - August 2, 2018) - Following a long illness, fought with bravery, dignity and lots of fun and cheer! Loving husband of 55 years to Lilian and father to Elizabeth, Johnnie, Grainne, Deirdre and Eimear. Doting and proud grandad to Rossa, Ellie, Iarla, Holly, Daniel and Donal and father-in-law to Stephen, Rory and Noelle. We shall miss you loads Dad, your quirky quotations and good advice! Predeceased by his parents Jack and Sheila and his brother Hugh. Missed by his sisters Shirley, Judy, Margaret, Mary Christine and brother Paul. Reposing at home today (Saturday) from 6 until 9pm. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Sunday) at 11.30am in St. Michael's Church, Clogherhead with burial afterwards in St. Denis' Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, in lieu, to St. Vincent de Paul Drogheda. House private on Sunday morning.The perfect gentleman.
