We wish to express our gratitude to everyone who attended the removal, Requiem Mass, burial and those who travelled long distances to be with us. Thank you to those who sent Mass cards, perpetual enrolments, messages of condolences, floral tributes, personal letters, generous donations to nominated charities on Rhona's behalf and to everyone who phoned us to offer their sympathy. We were particularly consoled by the personal letters from Archbishop Bernard Longley, Birmingham now retired Auxiliary Bishop Philip Pargeter. Fr. Paschal Burlingson former UK Superior of the Franciscan order who in 1990 professed Rhona into the Lay order, and the other religious communities who contacted the family. Special thanks to Canon Tom Farrell and priests of the Archdiocese of Birmingham who attended the funeral Mass in Coventry. Rhona would have been touched by Fr. E. Clarke's poignant homily. We are grateful to Fr. Andrew Franklin, Fr. Tom Raftery and Deacon Gerry O'Reilly for travelling from Coventry to Skibbereen to preside over Rhona's Requiem Mass with Fr. Keohane, Fr. Dan O'Connor MSC and Fr. Teddy Collins. We would like to thank the sacristan, altar servers, Nancy Long (organist), Liam Donovan and Maire Aina Hayes (soloists) who sang beautifully at the funeral. Sincere thanks to M. Hurley Undertakers (Skibbereen) and Pargetter's Undertakers (Coventry, UK) whose professionalism ensured Rhona returned safely home to be laid to rest. Thanks to Tim Looney and the the West Cork Hotel staff for their service to all who attended.
