CAREW, Michael (Booterstown, Co. Dublin) 29th April 2025. Peacefully, in the tender care of all the staff at the Blackrock Hospice and previously in the Cara Ward, SVPH, after a long illness bravely borne. Predeceased by his parents Lt. Col. Ross Carew and Delia Curley. Much loved husband and best friend of Anne (Coyne) and devoted Dad of Ross and Alan. Proud father-in-law of Melisa and doting Papa of Finn and Erik. Michael will be very sadly missed by his wife, sons, grandchildren, sister Marie, brother Ross, mother-in-law Loretta Coyne, sisters-in-law Sheila Hanley, Mary Coolen, Eileen Boyce, Una Cronin, and Katie Kent, brothers-in-law John, Gerard and Martin Coyne, nieces, nephews, cousins, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives, life-long friends Michael Cantrell, Michael Hennessy and Gary Coogan, neighbours and his many friends in Elm Park Golf Club. Removal to Church of the Assumption Booterstown on Tuesday (6th May) arriving at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday (7th May) at 11am followed thereafter by private cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium. Family flowers only. Online donations if desired, in Michael’s name, to Our Ladies Hospice, Blackrock. Rest in Peace

On Michaels first anniversary, Anne, Ross, Alan, Melisa and grandchildren, with his siblings Marie and Ross wish to thank our extended family, friends, neighbours, Elm Park members and ex colleagues (AIB) for your support in our bereavement. We are deeply grateful to those who attended his removal, funeral Mass, sent cards, letters, messages of condolence, flowers and food. Our sincere thanks to GP Dr David Kelly, consultant Mark Doherty and the NETS team SVUH, SVPH, HSE, Kare Plan, Blackrock Hospice Palliative Home team and Booterstown Pharmacy for your exemplary care during Michaels illness.
Thank you Mons. Ciarán OCarroll, Fr Tom Nash, Fr Brian Cronin, Fr. Gerard Tyrell and Thérèse ODonoghue for celebrating Michael's life with us.
