COUNIHAN, Ian P. (Naul) - March 31, 2016, (peacefully) at home in the loving care of his family, after a long illness borne with outstanding courage and dignity. Loved and loving husband of Ursula, treasured father of Ian and Sian, valued father-in-law to Pamela, cherished Pop to Evelyn. Greatly missed by his brothers and sisters, Peter, Mary, John, Frank, Donal and Anne, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Deeply missed by his many friends whose company he enjoyed so much. Reposing at his home "Grange Mount" from 6.00pm to 8.00pm this (Friday) evening. Requiem Mass tomorrow (Saturday) at 11.00am in the Church of Assumption, Balscadden followed by burial at Ballyboughal Cemetry. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to St. Francis Hospice Raheny or Beaumont Foundation. Riposare in pace

Very sorry to hear of Ian's passing. I was lucky enough to have enjoyed his company during many of our golf trips with the K.S.U.C. We at the Club will all miss him. From Tony Reynell
