Memories of Mary
Saddened to just learn today of Mary’s passing but delighted and not a bit surprised she continued to live life to the end and, since we last saw her, that she was able to cram several more years into life for good measure. Very fond memories of a warm and wonderful neighbour from our time next door in the garden flat. Always a smile and a wave from her window and more often than not an invite in for a quick aperitif! She was so proud of her family, past and present, was the epitome of elegance and class, and positively inspirational in her positive attitude as she flew up and down the stairs going about her life. She’s have been 105 today (14 April) but it’s comforting to know she’s at rest now and, typically considerate of her, we’re neighbours once again given we live across the park from her final resting place. Our sincere condolences to her family - was a pleasure and a privilege to have known her. Jaime McKeown, Beatrice Journée and Amaury Journée McKeown Shankill (ex-Seapoint Ave)
