ROWDEN (née Rose), Florence Elizabeth (Florrie) (February 6, 2015) - Florrie's husband Cecil and son Alan would like to thank all those who sympathised with, and supported them, on the occasion of Florrie's death; and to thank those who sent letters, emails, messages, cards, Mass cards, and donations to the Roof Fund of St Mary's Church, Howth. Our thanks to The Rev. Kevin Brew; to the organist John Rowden; to The Peninsula Group; to Nichols Funeral Directors; to The Royal Dublin Golf Club; and to all who attended the funeral service; to the staff of Ailesbury Private Nursing Home in Sandymount; and to those who visited Florrie in the nursing home so faithfully for over ten years. Since Florrie's stroke in March 2004, many people have been very kind to her and to Cecil, and your kindness, friendship and hospitality have been, and continue to be, deeply appreciated. Today, as every day, we remember Florrie with much love and affection; two days after what would have been Cecil's and Florrie's Sixtieth Wedding Anniversary (September 10) and two days before what would have been Florrie's 87th birthday (September 14). As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that you will accept this as a token of our appreciation and gratitude.
