NYHAN, Barry (Churchtown, Dublin, late of Cork, and Brussels) July 6, 2022. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family under the excellent care of Orwell Nursing Home. Dearly beloved husband of Jane; loving father to Stephen and Marc. A deeply caring man who believed in social justice and dedicated his professional life to furthering adult learning and development. Barry will be sorely missed by his family: grandchildren Zoë, Fionn, Aoife and Naomi; daughters-in-law Youngshil Sally and Hiroko; his sisters Norma and Marie; brothers Michael, Vincent and John; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; relatives; friends and former colleagues. Reposing in Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum this (Friday) afternoon from 4.00pm to 6.00pm. Removal tomorrow (Saturday) morning to the Church of SS Columbanus and Gall, Milltown for Funeral Mass at 11.00am which will be streamed live at mcnmedia.tv/camera/milltown-parish, followed by committal in the Garden Chapel at Mount Jerome Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations may be made in lieu to www.move4parkinsons.com or lewybodyireland.org.

We were really sorry that we had not had a chance to say goodbye to Barry. He married us in 1974, in a wonderfully inclusive wedding for which we were very grateful. Our sympathies to all of his family.
