BARRETT Fr Gerard OMI (San Antonio, Texas, formerly Bangor Erris, Co. Mayo) - March 20, 2014, peacefully at Oblate Madonna Residence. Deeply regretted by his sisters Sr Francis Catherine RSC, Kathleen Kennedy (Thurles), brother-in-law Willie, sister-in-law Mary, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends. Funeral has taken place in Texas. Requiem Mass Friday, March 28 at 8pm in Bóthar na Naomh Church, Thurles."Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis"

<p>Eternal Peace to our beloved friend</p> Deepest sympathies to his family and friends whom he dearly loved. His life was a reflection of the love of God-warm, fun, full of laughter and wiping away of tears. He was our dearest friend and he is so loved. He's golfing with the angels--with a nip of Scotch. Rest in Peace dear Gerry.
