WHELAN, The Death has occurred of our adored father Laurence (Larry) James Whelan. Dun Laoghaire, Dublin/Rathfarnham, Dublin. May 4, 2020 (Unexpectedly) and suddenly at home. Laurence devoted and proud father to Sarah, Brian, Claire and Simon. Sadly missed by his children, their mother Myra, son in law Shane, daughter in law Rebecca, Sarah's partner Jeff, adored grandchildren Niamh, Naoise, Jamie, Zoe, Sunny, Josh and Sean Patrick, his brother Paul, extended family, neighbours and friends in the sailing community. "A father is neither an anchor to hold us back nor a sail to take us there but a guiding light whose love shows us the way"
