STILLMAN, (née Carter) Helen (Monkstown, Co. Dublin and formerly of Thomastown Road, Dun Laoghaire and Ben Rhydding, Ilkley) April 2, 2020, suddenly but peacefully in the care of the staff at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Beloved wife of Prof. Chris and devoted mother of Clare and Gavin. She will be sadly missed by her husband, children, son-in-law Tom, daughter-in-law Ann, grandchildren Aoife, Thomas and Caroline, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, colleagues and friends. A private funeral service will take place due to the current situation. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to current restrictions cannot, please leave a personal message in the “Condolences section” on IrishTimes.com. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

So sorry to hear this. I taught in Rathdown while Helen was vice principal. She was brilliant at her job and universally liked because she was a beautiful and gentle person. My condolences to her family. Deirdre Craig
