LYNCH - Margaret (née Smith) 1920 to 2020, late of Saint Mary's Crescent, Walkinstown, Dublin 12. On the first anniversary of her death Margaret is lovingly remembered by her children, Brenda, Marion, Hilda, Michael and John, their partners, her 19 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren her brother Tommy and all her extended family. Our heartfelt thanks to those who showed such kindness to Margaret during her short illness especially the Doctors Nurses and staff at Saint James hospital and the Harold’s Cross hospice who could not have done more.

We would sincerely like to thank everybody in the Walkinstown Social Services Centre where Margaret enjoyed being a volunteer for many years. Margaret became a celebrity after her appearance on the R.T.E documentary “Letters from lockdown “ and her appearance on the RTE news on her 100th birthday in 2020. Living alone during the pandemic Margaret was delighted to receive letters ,cards and gifts and phone calls. We sincerely thank the hundreds of people who were touched by her on these programs and who passed on their condolences on her passing. Special thanks to Father Tom Clone of St. Agnes church Crumlin and funeral directors McEvoy’s for all their support and professional handling of the arrangements. An anniversary Mass will be held in St. Agnes Church, Crumlin on Sunday the 31st October at 12:30pm.
