BATTYE, Robert E. (Bob) (May 15, Second Anniversary) - Lovingly remembered and greatly missed today and always by family and friends.
BATTYE Robert Edward - It is a year since our beloved Robert went to heaven and Sharon, Edward, Eleanor Rose and Sebastian along with Des and Edith, Lois and Niall, and Henry and Stephanie want to say thank you for the loving kindness and support of family, neighbours, friends and work colleagues. The outpouring of love and practical help was a great comfort in those dark days. Special thanks to the paramedics who took Robert to St Vincent's University Hospital, the staff of I.C.U and Palliative care. The Rev. Chris Kennedy for his help in arranging the funeral and conducting a wonderful service celebrating Robert's life and faith. The beautiful singing of Rathdown School Choir. Canon Noel Battye who laid Robert to rest in Redford Cemetery, The Grove, Greystones. To the six young pall bearers who carried Robert shoulder high, thank you for your strength and courage. To Colliers who took care of every detail and made Robert's funeral special. The Church of the Nazarine for the use of their hall and Karen Doyle and her team for providing refreshments, thank you. To all who provided meals, sent Mass cards, cards, flowers and who travelled long distances to be with us and all who attended the funeral, you were a tremendous support. It would be impossible to thank everyone individually, so please accept this Acknowledgement as an eternal thank you to all who shared with us in our sorrow.Isaiah ch 43 v 1-2
