COWAN Colette Anne (née Murphy) May 11, 1962 May 9, 2020 (Muskegon, Michigan, U.S.A. formerly Dublin) Taken from us too early after a very brave battle with cancer. With a big, beautiful smile that could brighten up the darkest days, it has been a privilege to share this journey of life with such a special person. Born in Dublin, Colette graduated from Trinity College with a Computer Science Degree. She embarked on a career with Allied Irish Bank before meeting her life-long companion, her husband Doug. From that moment forward and for over thirty-two years, they were partners in everything. Colette is survived by her husband, Doug (Dr. William Douglas Cowan); her parents Thomas and Sarah Murphy; her sister Deirdre Choate (Gordon); her brother Sean Murphy (Idoia); her brother-in-law, Jamie Cowan; her niece Sarah; her nephews Evan, Chris and Dylan; and her grand nephew James. She will be greatly missed by extended family and life-long friends. Due to the current situation with COVID-19, a Celebration of Colette's life will be held at a later date. The family would like to express our thanks to the doctors and staff at Mercy Hospital and the hospice staff at Poppen Residence, Muskegon, for her care. Special thanks to Dr. Karen Seaver for her unwavering support for Colette.Gone from the body,
present in the Spirit.
