McCARTAN - Éimear (née OCarroll), Burnaby Mews, Greystones, Co. Wicklow. July 18, 2025, peacefully, surrounded by her devoted family while in the compassionate care of Claire and all the staff at Kilcoole Lodge Nursing Home. Remembered with love by her family, husband Pádraig, daughter Aoife, son Donnacha, adored grandchildren Ailbhe, Ruadhán, Caoileann and Alicia-Rose, son-in-law Declan, daughter-in-law Mary-Rose, siblings Deirdre, Enda, Ciarán, Colm and Cormac, extended family, neighbours and her very close circle of beloved friends. Reposing at her home on Tuesday evening, July 22, from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning, July 23, in the Holy Rosary Church, Greystones at 10am (which can be viewed live only on the following link: https://gkpastoralarea.ie/online/) after which Éimear will be laid to rest in Redford Cemetery, Blacklion, Greystones. May she rest in peace. Éimears family would like to thank most sincerely her wonderful carers, including Lisa, Clodagh and Linda, the doctors at Greystones Medical Centre for the exceptional care they afforded Éimear for many years, and in particular in recent months while Éimear was in the comfort of her own home until four weeks ago, and the caring and compassionate nurses at Kilcoole Lodge Nursing Home and the doctors at North Wicklow Medical to whom her family will be eternally grateful.
