HOLMES (née Tone) Ellen (Cooley Road, Drimnagh and formerly of Rosemount, Moate) - June 25, 2016, (peacefully), in the loving care of the staff at TLC Centre, Maynooth, in her 101st year, beloved wife of the late James (Jimmy); she will be sadly missed by her loving sons and daughters Ann (Hodson), Jim, Pat, Richard, Mary (McHugh) and John, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nineteen grand children, twenty five great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at TLC Centre, Straffan Road, Maynooth this (Tuesday) evening from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock. Removal tomorrow (Wednesday) morning to the Church of Mary Immaculate (The Oblates) Inchicore arriving for Requiem Mass at 11.00 o'clock followed by burial in Palmerstown Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Mother McAuley Centre, Drimnagh.May She Rest In Peace.
HOLMES Ellen (neé Tone), (1916-2016), (Drimnagh and formally of Rosemount, Moate) - In loving memory of Ellen, who passed away on June 25, 2016, on this the eve of her First Anniversary. Her children Ann, Mary, Pat, Jim, Richard, John and families wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with and supported us over the past year. We express our gratitude to those who called to TLC Nursing Home, Maynooth to pay their respects, to those who attended the funeral Mass and burial, to those who telephoned, sent Mass cards, and other messages of condolence. We also thank those who donated to the Mother McCauley Centre in Ellen's memory. Thanks are due also to our wonderful relatives, friends, neighbours and work colleagues who lent their support at this difficult time. We would like to thank Fr. Jimmy Murray O. Carm., Fr. Willie Fitzpatrick OMI, Fr. Kevin Corrigan C.S.S.p and Fr. Jim O' Mahoney for celebrating Ellen's Requiem Mass. We send a special thank you to the Garda Choir whose beautiful singing will be long remembered. It would be an impossible task to thank everyone individually, so please accept this acknowledgement as a mark of our sincere gratitude. Mass has been offered for your personal intentions.
