CLARKE Garrath (Howth Road, Dublin 5), died, on his thirty third birthday, November 23, 2010 - On this, the First Anniversary of Garrath's death, his parents, Marie and Paul, together with RĂona, Conor, Daragh, and Lisa wish to express their sincere thanks and heartfelt appreciation to all those, (many of whom travelled long distances) including our relations, friends and work colleagues who sympathised with us, attended the Funeral Mass, sent Mass Cards, letters of condolence, or simply spoke to us. Your prayers and kindness are very much appreciated. Special thanks to the Consultants and Nurses of St. James Hospital who cared for Garrath over a long period with great professionalism and unfailing courtesy. We thank also the doctors and nurses of the home care team, St. Francis Hospice for the exceptional and sensitive care shown to Garrath in his home in the short period before he died. A special thanks also to Fr. Cathal of St. John the Evangelist Church for officiating at Garrath's funeral Mass and for his kind and insightful words which captured perfectly the essence of Garrath's adventurous, humorous, loyal and gentle nature. As it would be impossible to thank you all individually, please accept this Acknowledgement as a token of our gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been celebrated for your intentions.

Garrath was a great childhood friend and a genuinely fun loving guy. Still in my thoughts. So sad to see that he passed away. Brian McPartlan

Dearest Clarke Family

I know that I didn't know Garrath very well, although Conor was a fixure at our house all through secondary school along with another friend sadly missed Mike Fitz... Brendan always keeps me informed of all thats going on back home and after losing Mike the thought that Garrath would be leaving us far too soon was heartbreaking. Brendan lived a lot of his life without his family on the same continenent. You were and are his family. I think Brendans wedding was the last time I got to see the boys...Conor of course rocked the best man speech and honored Mike and my father who we also lost too soon. Conor I am so sorry for your loss...Clarke family ...thank you for loving my brother. I wish you strength on this anniversary. Know that he is loved and never forgotten.
