MURPHY, Augustine Gerard (Gerry) (Howth) - March 11, 2024, (peacefully) at home, lifelong member and former Trustee and Captain of Howth Golf Club, beloved husband of Mary for 63 years, adored father of Anne Marie and Jane, and grandfather of Isabella and Noah. Deeply regretted by his brother Seamus and sister-in-law Eithne, his nephews, niece, his beloved dog Wilbur, and his many friends. Reposing in Staffords Funeral Home, Golf Links Road, Portmarnock tomorrow (Thursday), from 4pm to 6pm. Removal to the Church of the Assumption, Howth on Friday morning for 10am Funeral Mass, followed by cremation in Glasnevin crematorium. Family flowers only, please. Donations if desired to St. Francis Hospice. At Gerry’s request, attendees of the funeral are requested to wear colourful clothes. House Private. May he Rest in Peace

I was his grandchild Noah and it hurt for me to loose him,I didnt get to know him for as long as I wanted to,I stayed there in the room he died in and I didnt leave his side for hours I talked to him and I cried,It hurt really bad since hes the first person I ever lost.
