GRACE, Edward (Ned), (Blackrock, Co. Dublin and formerly of Callan, Co. Kilkenny) December 14, 2024. Peacefully, with his devoted family by his side and in the kind care of St. Vincent’s Private Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Helen and loving dad to Leeane and Alan. He is also survived by his granddaughter Ellen, daughter-in-law Niamh, brothers John, Michael and Paddy and his many nieces, nephews, god children, friends and his adored dog Coco. Ned will be terribly missed by his children to whom he was a wonderfully caring and generous father. He enriched their lives immensely. He had a beautiful life with his wife, Helen, whom he met during his long career in Smurfit. They went on many far flung and local trips soaking up all that life has to offer. Ned and Helen made fabulous memories over a generation of summers in Tara Glen and lots of trips to the wonderful Kelly's in Rosslare and later spending much of their final years together travelling to Spain. Ned had a full social life and maintained lifelong friendships with his school friends, former colleagues, and all his golf pals from Elm Park. Ned will be reposing tomorrow (Wednesday) evening from 5pm to 7pm in Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown, A94XK28. Funeral Mass on Thursday (December 19) at 10am in St. John the Baptist Church, Blackrock followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross. For those that cannot attend, the Mass can be viewed online using the Church webcam. No flowers please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired to the Irish Cancer Society or the St. Vincent de Paul. 'We will love you always’.
