McCARTHY (Clontarf) - David (DJ) (First Anniversary - died August 1, 2013, (peacefully in his sleep) - On the first anniversary of David's death, his brothers, John, Raymond and Gerard and sisters Gay and Anne would like to thank all those who helped us come to terms with David's sudden death. Sincere thanks to all who visited, attended David's removal and Funeral Mass, particularly those who travelled distances to be there, also those who sent letters and Mass cards, who phoned us or made charitable donations in his memory. Many thanks to Fr. Martin Hogan, Clontarf and Fr. Hugh Leahy, Curraghboy who celebrated a most beautiful funeral Mass. A special thank you to Naoise Stuart-Kelly who arranged the music with such sensitivity to his love of music, David would have approved. We are extremely grateful to the GardaĆ at Clontarf, the Dublin Fire Brigade and Stafford's Funeral Home for their kindness and professionalism. Thanks also to the Chaplain and staff of DIT Kevin Street, to David's neighbours in Clontarf and Ballivor, to his many friends from Colaiste Mhuire, those friends he made through his water polo and music and to the many students who became lifelong friends. A special word of thanks to our wider family and our in-laws, to all our neighbours and friends and to everyone who took the time to contact us. Your love, comfort and support helped us through a very difficult time. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation.
