McLOUGHLIN - Ray (Killiney, Co. Dublin and late of Ballinasloe, Co. Galway) - As we remember Dad on his First Anniversary (November 20) - We his children Lynne, Karen, John and Jennifer, together with his grandchildren Kate, Lucy, Lucas and Nico, and his brothers and sister Feidlim, Colm and Muire, wish to express our deep gratitude and heartfelt thanks, to all who sympathised with us at the time of Dad's death, and during this past year. Thank you to the many people who reached out to offer their condolences, our extended family, our friends and colleagues, and people from Dad's rugby and business careers. We drew comfort from the phone calls, Mass cards, letters, and messages of support that we received. Thanks also to those of you who attended the funeral, whether in person or online. It meant so much to us. Special thanks to the staff of St Elizabeth's Ward, in the Mater Private Hospital, for the care they showed Dad in his final days, to Fanagans for their guidance, to Fr. Jaimie Twohig of St. Anne's Parish, Shankill, who helped us to prepare for his funeral and who celebrated the Mass with such reverence, and to his school friend, Fr Bobby Gilmore, who spoke of Dad, so movingly. As a gesture of our gratitude, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
