GIBBONS, Desmond Patrick, (143, Ard na Mara, Malahide, Co. Dublin and the UK). On November 14, 2021, Desmond passed away peacefully in the UK at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of the late Dr. Joan Gibbons (nee O'Riordan, Main Street, Kenmare). Loving dad of Deirdre, John, Hilda and the late Siobhan. Adoring grandfather of Francesca, Sinead, Abby, Isabelle, Joseph, Clio and Gregory. He will be deeply missed and remembered with much love and affection by his daughters, son, grandchildren, daughter-in-law Michaela, son-in-law Christopher, sisters Maeve and Eileen, brothers Richard, Kevin and Rory, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, colleagues, relatives and many friends in both Ireland and the UK. May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace. Desmond's Requiem Mass will take place on December 20 (Monday) at 11.00am in Holy Cross Church, Kenmare which will be live streamed on www.kenmareparish.com Mass (live streaming) followed by burial in the Old Kenmare Cemetery.
