O'DALY (Carrol) First Anniversary - November 22, 2006. Carrol's wife Paula and all the O'Daly family wish to sincerely express our thanks to everyone who sympathised with us on our sad loss. Our thanks to all those who visited Carrol at home and in hospital and to those who sent letters, Mass cards and flowers and all who attended the wake and funeral. We are grateful to Professor Crown, Professor Armstrong and the dedicated nurses and staff of St. Vincent's University and Private Hospitals who cared for Carrol so professionally during his illness. Special thanks to his sister Cooe and to long standing friends, Jim Lockhart, John Coughlan and Kevin Myers for their uplifting poetry readings and graveside orations which so expressly recounted Carrol's extraordinary gifts, the impact he had on people, his humanity, generosity and his great zest for life. Special thanks also to Keith Donald for his beautiful music. We will always remember the love, support, practical help and kindness we received from our extended families, work colleagues, neighbours and so many dear and loyal friends. We trust that this notice will be accepted as our expression of heartfelt gratitude. Each of us who loved Carrol and who were loved by him have our own treasured thoughts of him today and are thankful for the joy of having him in our lives.
