WALSH (Clontarf, Dublin) - April 22, 2017, (peacefully), after a long illness borne with great humour, John (Johnny), dearly loved partner of Anne and brother of Paddy, Brian and Orlaith; sadly missed by his loving partner, family, brother-in-law Fergus, sisters-in-law Máire and Fionnuala, nieces Aífe and Niamh, nephews Éimhín and Neil, extended family and a wide circle of friends. Rest in Peace. Reposing at The Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand this (Tuesday) evening with family in attendance from 5 o'c until 7 o'clock Requiem Mass tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 11.30 o'c in St. Anthony's Church, Clontarf. Funeral thereafter to Glasnevin Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to The Irish Cancer Society.

WALSH John (Johnny) Clontarf, Dublin 3 First Anniversary. John passed away peacefully on April 22, 2017. Anne, Paddy, Brian, Orlaith, brother-in-law Fergus, sisters-in-law Máire and Fionnuala, nieces Aífe and Niamh, nephews Éimhín and Neil, and extended family wish to sincerely thank all those who supported us at the time of John's death and over the past year. Thank you to all who took the time to send Letters, Mass Cards and Messages of Condolences from all over the world. We also sincerely thank the large number of friends from, Dublin, Sligo, Cork, Galway and many other parts of Ireland who gathered with his many friends from Scotland to attend John's funeral. We are grateful for the wonderful tributes from his many friends in Old Belvedere RFC, Dolphin RFC, The Royal Dublin Golf Club and, the Munster Cricket Union. Our gratitude to Fr. Donal Neary, S.J. who celebrated John's Funeral Mass. The caring, professional support and friendship of Kirwans Undertakers at a difficult time was a great comfort for which we are very grateful. A special thanks to the Consultants, Nurses and Staff of the Oncology Department of the Mater Private Hospital. Our particular appreciation to Dr. Johnny Blennerhassett and Ciara Dowling and the team at the Fairview Community Unit for their care, and kindness throughout John's illness. Thanks to everyone who donated kindly to The Irish Cancer Society in John's memory. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of The Mass will be offered for your intentions. John is sadly missed but still lives on in the hearts of his family and many friends.Don't cry because it's over.
