<p>BLESSING - PATRICK J. (Colonel US Marine Corps, Retired; Associate Professor of U.S. History at the University of Tulsa, Retired, Warren Fellow and Professor Emeritus at Harvard University) Patrick, son of the late John and Ada Blessing, Dublin, died suddenly in the presence of his beloved wife, Callie, at his home in North Carolina on June 30. He was a scholar, soldier, writer, and our dearest friend. He is predeceased by a sister,Bernadette (Harte) and her husband Barry. He is survived by his loving wife, Callie, adored children, daughter Olwen and son John as well as his brothers, Kevin, John, and Peter all in Dublin and by his sister Ada (Callanan), Galway. He is sadly missed by his relations and friends in Dublin, Leitrim (cousins) and the USA. Interment took place in the Quantico National Cemetery, USA. A memorial service will be held in Dublin, at a later date.</p><p>Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam uasal.</p>
