GORDON - Des (First Anniversary, July 17) (Dominick Street, Portumna, Co. Galway and Yeats Way, Park West, Dublin) (formally of Blizzard, Cork; Workhuman, Dublin and alumnus of Ballyfermot College and Teesside University).

On this first anniversary of Des’ death, his parents Joan and Séan D. together with their family would like to acknowledge the huge support that our extended family, friends, neighbours, the community of Portumna and its surrounding townlands gave to us when we lost our Des. We would like to say a special word of thanks to Des’ colleagues in his Workhuman family for all their support during and since then, and their specially published Book of Remembrance capturing their memories, stories and Workhuman gratitude’s. We are deeply grateful to those who sent cards, letters, photographs, RIP condolences and memories; and to all those who have given their time and generosity to our family over the last twelve months.

To the passersby, Gardaí, Paramedics and Tallaght Hospital emergency medical team we thank you for all that you did to help our son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, friend.

There was an earthquake in our world when Des died. The painful aftershocks continue, and we have to navigate this new landscape without him.
