BURNS, John (Sean O'Broin), (Artane, formerly Oldcastle), June, 3, 2017, formerly of An Post, and An Post Employees' Credit Union. After a short illness, in the excellent care of the Mater Hospital (Yeats Unit, PACS, Fairview). Wonderful husband to the late Marie. Adoring dad to Ciara, Sinéad and Aedeen, and beloved 'Daddy John' and grandad to Éabha, Sadhbh, Tadhg, Saorlaith and Fionn. He will be fondly remembered by his sons-in-law Micheal, Paul and Brendan; sister Kathleen; sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews; Credit Union colleagues, neighbours and friends. A very special thanks to Professor Dermot Power and Alison Kennedy and their wonderful team on Yeats Unit for their kindness to John as well as their expert and tender care. Also thanks to the staff who were so lovely to him in Clontarf Hospital. Reposing at his home today (Tuesday) June 6. Removal from there tomorrow (Wednesday) to Our Lady of Mercy, Artane, arriving for 11.30 Mass, and afterwards to Glasnevin Crematorium. House private on Wednesday morning. Family flowers only please.
