Deepest sympathy
I got to know Tony when he joined Sutton golf club last year and enjoyed many rounds with him. He joined our regular four ball for a Christmas get-together dinner in Malahide. He was very good company and a thorough gentleman. He will be sadly missed by us all Leo Keogh

Appreciation of his kindness
Tony was a really patient and thoughtful guide to me when I was a very confused beginner on MPP10 in 1985. When I later moved to Cambridge he kept in touch and allowed me to transfer to MPP11 which, fortunately, proved to be a success. He even took the trouble to visit Cambridge. I was privileged to attend his retirement not long ago in the IMI. May he rest in peace. Gerard Coakley, Dalkey

The tragic and untimely loss of a good friend and mentor

Having had the privilege of knowing Tony from the very start to the end if his career in the IMI, I know that I speak for all MPP graduates in saying that we have lost a great friend and mentor. A lovely man - someone we were all indebted to.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilis

Dom Crotty MPP9
