SWEENEY, Gerald P. (Gerry), (Sandyford, Co. Dublin and Erris, Co. Mayo). Born Sydney, Australia, March 18, 1928, son of Patrick and Ellen, (late of Preston and Leicester); died April 19, 2018, (peacefully) in view of his beloved mountains covered in early morning mist and sunshine, at St. Vincent's Private Hospital, Dublin. Dearly beloved husband of Margaret, dad of Fergus, Janet, Clare and Niall, father-in-law to Miriam, Kieran, Kevin and Nigel, granpa to Emma, Kevin, Katie, Fionan, Tom, Gráinne, Oisín, Fíachra and Molly, great-granpa to Evie and Pippa. We thank everyone who cared so well for Gerry at home, at The Glebe and at St. Vincent's Private Hospital. Gerry will be at home on Sunday (April 22) from 3.00pm until 7.00pm. Removal on Monday morning (April 23) to St. Patrick's Church, Glencullen to arrive for Funeral Mass at 11.00 o'c followed by burial in adjoining Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to RNLI or Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team. A great husband, father,
