Sincere condolences to the Bunyan family on your sad loss. So many fond memories… Aileen was a true educator & she espoused the values of loyalty, generosity, kindness & respect. She was “traditional” in many ways but also embraced the “new”. As a teacher, Deputy Principal & Principal the student was always her main focus & she was affirming, encouraging & supportive. She was a dear colleague, a team player & was there for us all in the best & worst of times. She had a great sense of occasion & was a stylish, elegant & courteous LADY. I feel lucky & privileged to have known & worked with you, Aileen. Thank you for everything. Sleep well, dear friend.

Sincere sympathy to all the Bunyan family on the sad passing of Aileen. Although not a sports person, by her own admission, she threw herself behind every hockey team in the school regardless of rank, she came to every match and after party whether we won or lost and her encouragement led to great success over the years. Thank you Aileen, May you rest in peace. Margaret McGoldrick. Former hockey coach.

Sincere sympathy to the Bunyan family, extended family and to Aileen’s many friends and professional colleagues. Aileen’s love of ‘all things Loreto’ was wholehearted and enduring. Those of us who had the privilege of working with her in Loreto Abbey, Dalkey will remember forever her gracious presence and commitment.

Condolences to all the family. A wonderful teacher and principal. Can’t have been easy keeping an eye on all Loretto girls, but she did it with such style and grace. We were lucky students. May she rest in peace.
