BELL, (née O’Reilly) Imelda (Bettyglen, Raheny and formerly of Academy Street, Navan), peacefully on Mercy Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the Mater Hospital, Dublin. Forever remembered by her husband Brian, her devoted companion of sixty-four years; beloved children, Brian, Alison, David and Raymond; daughter-in-law Finola; grandchildren David, Kate, Grace, Layla and Kaley May; great-granddaughters Sadie and Rose; sisters Cecilia, Eithne and Evelyn; nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Catherine (Kathleen); brothers Lonan, James and Michael; and sisters Madeline and Fidelma. May she Rest in Peace. Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand today (Tuesday) from 5pm to 7pm with family in attendance. Funeral Mass on tomorrow (Wednesday) in S.S. Peter and Paul Church, Baldoyle at 11.15am, with burial afterwards to Dardistown Cemetery, Collinstown Cross, Cloghran, Co. Dublin. House private please.
BELL Imelda - The family of the late Imelda Bell of Bettyglen, Raheny, Dublin 5 wishes to acknowledge the many gestures of sympathy and support shown to them following their great loss on Mercy Sunday, 8 April 2018. On this, the first anniversary of Imelda's death, her husband Brian and their children Brian, Alison, David and Raymond wish to express their deepest thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who offered their most compassionate thoughts at so difficult a time, and whose presence throughout was a lasting comfort. The family would like to extend a special word of gratitude to Professor Brendan McAdam and Dr. Deepak Gopinathan of Beaumont Hospital who, along with many truly remarkable nurses and carers, showed Imelda such sweetness and solicitude. Heartfelt thanks also to the Mater Hospital who attended Imelda in her final days, bringing to them an abiding peace and grace. To those of you who shared in our grief a year ago, and who remain with us to this day, we ask that you accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our gratitude.
