FRIEL (Glasnevin and formerly of Dunfanaghy) - July 28, 2015, (peacefully), in the Mater Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, Hugh, beloved husband of Maureen, beloved father of the late Margaret, and wonderful loving Dad to his children Hugh, Jacinta, Patrick, Valerie, Caroline, Mary and Gráinne; very sadly missed by his son-in-law Jim, daughters-in-law Mary and Meleesa, grandchildren, great grandchild Lily, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Thursday) in Our Mother of Divine Grace Church, Ballygall Road East, Glasnevin at 10 am. Burial afterwards in Dardistown Cemetery.May he Rest in Peace

My father, Patrick James Friel was Hugh’s brother. We flew over to visit Hugh and Maureen in Glasnevin. We were made most welcome and Maureen gave us a folder of poems Uncle Hugh had written. We have fond memories of the day we spent in their company
