DILLON Dr. John (Chapelizod, Rathmines, Baltimore, died May 10, 2008) - On the First Anniversary of John's death, Zita, Luke, Jane and Rosie, would like to express our heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to all who sympathised with us and supported us in our sadness. Thank you to all those who attended the removal and funeral Mass, thank you to our extended family, to our neighbours and friends from Dublin, West Cork and abroad. To the staff at Chapelizod Medical Centre, the Maryfield Community, the People of Chapelizod and Ballyfermot and the great numbers of young people who came to support Luke, Jane and Rosie. We have been deeply moved by all of the letters, cards, messages, flowers, online and published tributes which reflect the many lives that John touched. A special thanks to Fr. Enda McDonagh and the priests who concelebrated Mass, to Steve Higgs who played the organ and coordinated the music, to John's brother David and his friend Patrick White, who recalled John's life and his achievements and his wonderful spirit. Thank you to the Hospice Homecare Team and to John's Medical colleagues who cared for him so well throughout his illness. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgment will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation. We are so grateful for John's life and to have known and loved him.
