O'GRADY, (Douglas, Cork & formerly of Fermoy and Castleknock, Dublin): On March 6th, 2025 peacefully, after a short illness surrounded by her loving family, in the exceptional care of the staff at Marymount Hospice, MARY (née Hanly), beloved wife of the late Jim and loving mother of Deirdre, Clodagh (McGowan), Mike, Brian, Catriona and Aoife, predeceased by her granddaughter Cliona and sister-in-law Breda. Mary will be sadly missed by her family, her brother Tim, grandchildren Bronagh, Darragh, Cian, Orlaith, Eva and Cormac, her great-grandchild Ayda, sons-in-law Pat and Liam, daughter-in-law Niamh, her brother-in-law William and his wife Breda, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. Requiem Mass at 11.00am today on Monday (March 10th) in St. Patrick’s Church, Rochestown Road (Eircode T12 NW01) Private Cremation at a later date. Family flowers only, please. O'GRADY - Mary, Kilteely, Fermoy, Castleknock and The Paddocks, Cork. On the occasion of the First Anniversary of Marys passing on March the 6th 2025, her children Deirdre, Clodagh, Michael, Brian, Catriona and Aoife and their families, her brother Tim and her brother-in-law William wish to acknowledge all the kindness and support from family and friends at home and abroad. We greatly appreciate the many cards, messages and expressions of sympathy received. We are very grateful to all who attended the Removal and Funeral Mass in Douglas. Many thanks for the wonderful care Mary received in the Bon Secours Hospital in Cork and the exceptional care and compassion she received in Marymount Hospice during the last five weeks of her life. We are extremely grateful to Marys GP Dr. Paddy Hayes for his care over the years. Heartful thanks to Fr. Pat Stevenson and to everyone who participated in the Funeral Mass. Also to Jeremiah OConnor Funeral Director for the professional and caring manner in conducting the arrangements.
