PHELAN, Cynthia, (née Ryder) (Maypark Lane, Waterford) - August 4, 2012 at her residence, widow of the late Dr. John (Patrick Street). Will be sadly missed by her loving children Suzanne, Bernard, Ann Marie and Tim, grandchildren Richard, Catie, Lizzie, Andrew, Myles, Olwen, Lucy, Jack, Jamie, Erin, Sarah, Gilly and Sasha, sisters Annette, Kay and Rosina, sons and daughters-in-law Ard, Scott, Fiona and Susanne, sister-in-law Edith, friends Geraldine and Mena, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends, R.I.P. Removal from Thompson's Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Waterford, today (Tuesday) at 6:15 o'c to St. Mary's Church, Ballygunner. Requiem Mass tomorrow (Wednesday) at 4 o'clock Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the Samaritans.
PHELAN Cynthia (First Anniversary August 4, 2012) - The Phelan Family would like to thank all those who sympathised with them on the loss of their mother in August last year. We would especially like to thank all those who; travelled to attend the removal and funeral; called to the house; wrote and sent Mass cards. We would like to thank those who attended our mother in the last months Dr. Walshe, Dr. Brennan and Dr. O'Connor and the staff on the Oncology Day Ward, the Waterford Hospice Home Care Team, Public Health Nurses and Occupational Therapist. We would like to express our gratitude to Fr. Fitzpatrick OMI, Fr. Warren OMI and Fr. Liddane who offered Mass for mum and all those in St. Mary's Church, Ballygunner, and the ICA who provided a guard of honour on mum's arrival at the church. To all those who continue to offer us support, friends and neighbours thank you. Please accept this acknowledgement as appreciation, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
