SCANNELL, Des (late of Glencairn Thicket, Leopardstown, Co. Dublin). The family of the late Des Scannell, together with his special friend Carmel, would like to thank all those who assisted him at the time of his death, especially his kind neighbours and the medical personnel of the ambulance service as well as the staff at St. Vincent's Hospital. We also thank Fr. Andrew O'Sullivan and his team and Fr. Paddy Dundon who officiated at the removal and funeral services; and we especially thank the many friends, both his and ours, who extended sympathy by their presence at the funeral services or through letters, Mass cards or personal communications.May he rest in peace.
