GALLIGAN, – James (Jimmy) (late of Howth) 11 July 2019, (peacefully) after a long illness borne with great fortitude at Beaumont Hospital; beloved son of the late John and Molly Galligan, and brother of the late Sean. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing brother Larry, and sister-in-law Peggy, extended family, neighbours, and many friends. Rest in Peace. Reposing at Nichols Funeral Chapel, Lombard Street East (adjacent to Pearse Dart Station), today Friday from 3 o’c -5 o’c , Removal tomorrow Saturday to Church of the Assumption Howth, arriving for 10 o’c Funeral Mass, afterwards to Glasnevin Crematorium.
GALLIGAN, James (Jimmy), (formerly of Asgard Park, Howth), July 11, 2019. On this, the First Anniversary of Jimmy's death, Larry and Peggy wish to express our gratitude to all who sent Mass cards and messages of sympathy, to all who attended at the Funeral parlour, the Requiem Mass and the crematorium, in particular to those who travelled long distances to pay their respects. We wish to extended our sincere appreciation to Mr Barry O'Sullivan and his team and the nursing staff at the Banks Ward, Beaumont Hospital, to the district nurses at Howth Health Centre and to his carers for their care of Jimmy throughout his long illness. A special word of thanks to a small group pf his very close friends who were always ready and willing to provide much needed help and support at his home. We also wish to express our appreciation to the staff at Nichols Funeral Directors for their help and guidance in organising the Funeral arrangements. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. The Holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
