TURLEY, Noel (Foxrock and formerly of Vicarstown, Co. Laois) - May 12, 2015, (very peacefully), after a short illness, in the excellent and compassionate care of Cedar Ward at St. Vincent's Private Hospital, darling husband of Catherine (née O'Leary) and of the late Kathleen (née Doyle), beloved father of Peter, Kevin and Jean and brother of the late Michael; he will be forever greatly missed by his wife and family, sister Philo, brothers Tony, Gerard and John, his adored grandchildren of whom he was so proud Jonny, Aimée, Cara, Connor, Dara, Aishline and Patrick, brother-in-law Brian, sisters-in-law Anne and Valerie, nieces, nephews, cousins and a wide circle of friends. Reposing at his home today (Thursday) from 3pm prior to removal to Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock arriving at 5.00 o'clock Funeral tomorrow (Friday) after 11.30 Mass to Shanganagh Cemetery.
TURLEY, Noel (May 12, 2015) - On this the First Anniversary of Noel's death, his wife Catherine, children Peter, Kevin and Jean, together with the extended family, wish to thank everyone who helped, supported and sympathised with them at the time of their sad loss; to all, including the members of Blackrock College RFC and Noel's many other friends from the rugby world, who attended the wake and the funeral Mass in such numbers; who brought gifts, sent cards and messages of condolence and who helped in so many ways at the time and during the past year. Our thanks also to the doctors, nurses and catering staff of St. Vincent's Private Hospital for all their kindness and excellent care of Noel and to all, including so many of his former pupils, who visited Noel in hospital. Special thanks to Fr. Paddy Dundon who concelebrated Mass with so many of his confreres together with Fr. Peadar Murney and the Priests of Foxrock Parish; to Tom Fortune, the Sacristan who was helpful in so many ways; to Simon Morgan, who enriched the Mass with his beautiful singing; to the staff of St. Michael's and Blackrock Colleges and to the boys of both Colleges for their guard of honour. Our heartfelt thanks to Jody Fanagan for his professionalism and attention to detail at such a difficult time. To all who wrote such moving and consoling letters, we would like to say how much they are treasured. As it would be impossible to reply to each one individually, we would like to take this opportunity to record our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for the intentions of all.
