KELLY - Mary (née Carton), Clonskeagh, Dublin. On this her first anniversary May 12,
Mary is greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her loving husband Maurice, beloved children Tom, Sheila, Frank, Ruth, Emer and David, and adored grandchildren, Lisa, Tomas, Alison, Raymond, Rebecca, Anna, David, Alannah, Jonathan, Carla, Robert, Aoife, Kieran, Sam, Max, Ben and Susannah, brother Garrett, brother-in-law Paul and sisters in law, Margaret and Marjorie Carton, and Margaret Kelly. We, Mary’s family, wish to acknowledge the difficult circumstances due to the Covid 19 pandemic which have impacted on us all during the last year. These restrictions were especially evident during the funeral events and thank you all for respecting these health guidelines. Though we were, and still are, unable to meet in person we have all been comforted by your warm-hearted and comforting letters, messages, cards of condolences, and phone calls, and those of you who visited and got as far as the gates of Wynnsward. Our particular thanks to Fr Paul Kelly for your guidance and support in the preparation for Mary’s requiem Mass and for making the service so personal – always a difficult task to preside over a family funeral. Thank you to all who participated virtually, and those of you who supported us from a distance outside The Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook. It was a very special moment when, after the service, Mary made her last journey home to Wynnsward, and friends, family and great neighbours lined the route. Thank you. Our thanks also to Martin and all the wonderful team at Quinns Funeral Home, Glasthule, for their care and professionalism in assisting us with all the necessary arrangements during the week of Mary’s death. Mary died in SVUH, Covid ward, and we would like to thank all who cared for her and showed her the kindness and compassion that we, her family, could not give due to the pandemic restrictions. Special thanks to Hannah and Susie for their care and love shown to mum, engaging with Mary when we could not. Thank you to all Mary’s friends and extended family who have regaled us with stories of her very full life and her experiences whether it be in Dublin, Waterford, Donegal or Hong Kong. A big thank you also to Garrett for the wonderful photograph collection – a terrific visual memory of Mary’s life. Due to Covid restrictions we are still unable to come together and celebrate Mary’s life. We are looking forward to doing so in the future. We will always remember you Mary, your kind smile will warm our hearts always, and your spirit of love, kindness and compassion will be your legacy to all your Kelly Clan.
