O'LOAN, Arthur passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his wife Mary on November 14, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Born in Dublin in 1939, he lived in Clonakilty, Co. Cork, Sandyford, Co. Dublin, Clarinbridge, Co. Galway and lately near Drogheda Co. Meath. He was a wonderful person and his gentle nature, good humour and unfailing optimism will be sadly missed by Mary and their four children Fiona, Ciaran, Seamus, David and their spouses. As Grandad, he will be missed by his adored grandchildren Serena, John, Mark, Sadbh, Ethan, Fionn and Lauren. He will be held in loving memory by his brother John, sister Maire, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends. He is now enjoying his heavenly reward with his parents John and Mary, his brother Paddy and his nephew Shane. A natural and inspirational educator, his memory will live long in the lives of those he has touched. Reposing in Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes, Drogheda, A92 XN75, tomorrow (Thursday) from 5.00 o’clock until 7.00 o’clock. Removal on Friday to St Mary’s Church, James Street, Drogheda, arriving for Funeral Mass at 1.00 o’clock which can be viewed on www.stmarysdrogheda.ie Cremation at Dardistown Crematorium, Old Airport Road, Co. Dublin (K67 HP26). Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Brother Kevin, Capuchin Day Centre, Merchants Quay, Dublin. May he Rest in Peace.
