KILLEEN, (née O’Connell) Elizabeth (Betty) (Upper Kilmacud Road, Co. Dublin and Ballymakea More, Quilty, Co. Clare) Peacefully, surrounded by her devoted family, on Sunday, October 6th, 2024, in her 86th year, in the exceptional care of St. Michael’s Hospital, Dun Laoghaire, and earlier in Orchard Respite Centre and Leopardstown Care Centre. Remembered with love by her husband Christy and family, daughters Moira, Fiona and Niamh, sons John, Brian, Aidan and Ronan, adored 20 grandchildren, sons-in-law John, Richard and Walter, daughters-in-law Sarah, Katie and Charleen, sister-in-law Mary, brothers-in-law Maurice, Albert and Francis, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a wide circle of friends. A special thanks to her wonderful carers who helped in keeping Betty in the comfort of her own home as long as medically possible. Removal today Tuesday 8th October, to the Church of St. Laurence O’Toole, Kilmacud, A94 CY83, arriving for Prayers at 5pm. Funeral Mass tomorrow Wednesday 9th October at 1pm in St. Mary’s Church, Mullagh, Co. Clare. After Mass Betty will be laid to rest in Mullagh Cemetery.
