CUNNINGHAM (Desmond) (Des) (Furbo, Galway) (Died September 18, 2006) - Patsy and Aileen, Conal, Shelia and Catherine and Des's extended family wish to to express our grateful thanks to all who sympathised with us during the sad days of our great loss and those who supported us then, and throughout the months since. Thanks to those who visited our house and attended his funeral. Thanks for the Masses, prayers, messages of sympathy and flowers for Des and us. We would especially like to thank Fr Dennis Crosby, Fr Michael O'Kelly (Des's cousin) Dean T. Coyne and Fr Clinton and 'Realt na Mara' choir for making the funeral Mass a memorable tribute. Special 'Thank You' to Prof. Pat McArdle for his eulogy. Our appreciation and thanks to all staff, medical, nursing and domestic in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, Bon Secours, Galway and U.C.H.G. To you who visited Des in hospital and at home thank you, Des was delighted to see each of you. Des loved life, people, chemistry, art and music. He loved the mountains and the sea. When he enjoyed a swim he'd say "This is Heaven". We hope his Heavenly swim exceeds his expectations.Suimhneas sioraidh dá anam seimh.
