McCARTHY Mary Elizabeth (May) (Drumcondra) - August 15, 2010 (peacefully) in the wonderful care of the staff at the Mater Hospital following an illness bravely borne. Beloved eldest daughter of the late Jeremiah and Mary and sister of the late John and Bernadette. Ex-member of the National Iibrary of Ireland and a lifelong committed member of The Legion of Mary and a recipient of The Benemerenti Medal for her work in Cross Care. Deeply regretted by her sisters, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives and friends. R.I.P. Removal this (Wednesday) morning from hospital to St. Columba's Church, Iona Road for 11 o'c Mass, followed by funeral to Fingal Cemetery, Balgriffin. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Pakistan Flood Relief.
