O'SULLIVAN, Joan, (Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry). On this the occasion of Joan's First Anniversary, (June 25, 2015), her family; John, Alice (Ailis), Maureen, Conor and their families, and her brother, Fr. Richard would like to express our sincere thanks to all who sympathised with us on our sad loss. Thanks to those who called to the house, attended the Rosary in her home, the removal, Funeral Mass and burial, especially those who travelled long distances. Many thanks also to those who sent Mass cards, letters of sympathy and floral tributes. We would like to express our gratitude to Fr. Con Buckley PP, Fr. Frank Tobin, Fr. Donal O'Neill and Fr. Dan Ahearn and Fr. Charles Meagher of the Colomban order who concelebrated Joan's funeral mass. To Stella Murnane who sang so beautifully in the church. Thanks to Quills Undertakers for their help and professionalism and also the grave diggers. To the medical people who cared for Joan over the years our deepest gratitude. Dr Vincent Boland and Dr Maria Quille for their professionalism and kindness and the district nurses and palliative care nurses for their wonderful support. Her home carers, Eileen, Mary and Collette also. Their visits were the highlight of her day and we thank you all for that. Also to the people who visited Joan at home or in hospital, those visits meant the world to her and we thank those people for making the time to spend with her. Also to the matron and staff of the community nursing unit Kenmare where Joan spend her last six months and where she was very happy. Thanks so much for the care comfort dignity and friendship given to Joan, for which we will be forever grateful. Lastly for our wonderful friends, neighbours and extended family for their continuing support. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. First Anniversary Mass will be held today (Saturday) June 25 at 6.30pm in St Patricks church Kilgarvan.
